Join our team as a ¡MS Purview Data Security Engineer – Email Security !. We’re searching for someone who has fresh ideas and a unique viewpoint, and who enjoys collaborating with a cross‑functional team to develop real‑world solutions and positive user experiences for every interaction.

Required Technical Skills

• BS in Computer Science, Information Security or related field of study, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, email security, and data protection roles specifically in Microsoft 365 security and compliance
• Expertise in configuring and managing email security gateways (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast, Microsoft Defender for Office 365)
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and policy auditing, including automating policy reviews, reporting, and configuration tasks
• Writing scripts to extract compliance data and generate reports
• Experience developing and maintaining Microsoft Purview DLP policies, configuring sensitive information types, custom dictionaries, and RegEx patterns
• Managing Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, and Communication Compliance
• Skilled in creating Exchange Transport Rules to detect and prevent sensitive data sharing
• Configuring email gateway policies to restrict data exfiltration
• Performing message tracking and analyzing email flow, alerts, and risk identification
• Experience integrating security systems with monitoring tools (e.g., Sentinel, Splunk)
• Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and risk reduction opportunities using tools like Excel, Power BI, or KQL (Kusto Query Language) for metrics and insights

Keep in mind

Candidate must have a strong background in Microsoft (MS) 365 and MS Purview cybersecurity, email security, and data protection in an enterprise environment.

Primary Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain email security gateway policies to apply data restrictions
• Configure data loss prevention policies with the use of RegEx and/or dictionaries on email security gateways
• Use of PowerShell scripting to automate and expedite M365 policy configuration review and status
• Develop exchange transport rules to detect and prevent the sharing of sensitive data
• Develop, implement, and maintain Microsoft Purview DLP policies
• Perform message tracking, alert & data analysis to identify and risk reduction opportunities
• Identify policy and process optimization opportunities across services
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors to engineer short‑ and long‑term solutions
