Job summary

Ambush is seeking a hands-on Data Scientist / AI Engineer to build machine learning models and AI-powered solutions for business-critical use cases.

This role combines the end-to-end modeling lifecycle—from data extraction, feature engineering, and model evaluation to retraining and real-time deployment, with the design and development of production-ready LLM applications, including RAG systems and multi-agent architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL with hands-on ML ecosystem experience.
• Experience taking ML models to production with real-time or low-latency inference.
• Experience handling model drift and iterating on models in production.
• Hands-on tuning and feature selection techniques (Optuna, backward selection).
• Experience building LLM-powered solutions, including RAG and multi-agent systems.
• Experience leading a project or MVP end to end with stakeholder alignment.
• Advanced/fluent English, comfortable presenting to US clients.

Job description

We are seeking a hands‑on Data Scientist / AI Engineer to build machine learning models and AI‑powered solutions for business‑critical use cases. This role combines the end‑to‑end modeling lifecycle—from data extraction, feature engineering, and model evaluation to retraining and real‑time deployment, with the design and development of production‑ready LLM applications, including RAG systems and multi‑agent architectures. The ideal candidate can diagnose model performance issues, select the right approach for each problem, and lead initiatives from research and scope definition through delivery, collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams across the US and India.

What we'd like to see in a candidate:

• Strong Python and SQL, with solid hands‑on use of the ML ecosystem (pandas, scikit‑learn, XGBoost, LightGBM or similar).
• Proven experience taking ML models to production, including real‑time or low‑latency inference.
• Experience handling model drift and iterating on models already in production.
• Hands‑on experience with tuning and feature selection techniques (e.g. Optuna, backward selection).
• Strong experience building LLM‑powered solutions, including agents, multi‑agent architectures, RAG systems, and API integrations.
• Experience leading a project or MVP end to end, including requirements (PRD) and stakeholder alignment.
• Advanced/fluent English, comfortable presenting technical work to US clients.

Nice to haves:

• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Oracle, SAP or Workday, and their data models.
• Experience in financial services, credit risk or fraud, or in large consumer/B2B companies.
• Experience building dashboards and communicating results to business audiences.
