Job summary

Agile Engine is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and support scalable data pipelines on the Databricks platform. You will architect and implement end-to-end data solutions, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data products.

You will work within a people-first culture, applying modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, and agile methods to drive value for Fortune 500 brands and innovative startups.

Qualifications

• 3 years of software development experience and/or commensurate skills building commercial applications with modern principles.
• Experience with the Databricks platform— leveraging Unity Catalog, notebooks and pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience administering RDS Postgres and Aurora databases, with understanding of Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies (AWS, Serverless, Event-Driven Architecture, SOA, Microservices, CI/CD, IaC).
• Proficiency with professional software engineering practices and full SDLC including coding standards, reviews, source control, build, tests, and operations.
• Proven track record contributing to distributed teams using Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix production issues.
• Communicate with the development lead to raise issues and anticipate barriers.

• Proficiency with professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture/design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Demonstrated record of successfully contributing to distributed software delivery teams usingAgile/Scrum and Dev Sec Opspractices.
