Sinch is seeking a Data Engineer – Data & Automation to design and maintain data pipelines and automation that empower customer-facing teams. You will build integrations, dashboards, and models that enable leadership to monitor key metrics and measure improvements.

This role reports to the Director, Operational Excellence and collaborates across Customer Support, Onboarding, Policy, Sales, and Engineering. You will work in a remote setting across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC time zones, using AI tools

Responsabilidades

  • Build and maintain data pipelines from support, onboarding, and billing systems (Zendesk, Jira, and internal platforms).
  • Design, build, and deploy automations, integrations, and internal tools that remove manual steps from team workflows.
  • Build integrations between Zendesk and internal systems using APIs and webhooks.
  • Build data models, dashboards, and reports that teams and leadership use every day, including the operational metrics the teams are measured on.
  • Capture a baseline before each improvement and measure the result after release.
  • Share ownership of the team's platform: architecture, version control, deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Use AI tools where they add value, and check their output against real data before teams rely on it.
  • Follow Sinch's security and data-governance standards: security review before deployment, centrally managed credentials, and auditable changes.
  • Work with process owners to turn a documented process into a working automation, and explain technical choices to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support the rollout of new tools and monitor their health after launch.

DESCRIPTION

The Data Engineer – Data & Automation builds the data pipelines, automations, and internal tools that help Sinch's customer-facing teams work faster, and measures the results.

Reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, this role is part of Global Customer Excellence and works with Customer Support, Customer Onboarding, Policy Assurance, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. Operational Excellence maps how the teams work, builds the improvements, and measures them. This role does the building and the measuring .

Main responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain data pipelines from support, onboarding, and billing systems (Zendesk, Jira, and internal platforms).

REQUIREMENTS
  • Be based in Brazil, México, Colombia or Sweden.
  • Advanced or fluent English
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience in data engineering, automation, technical operations, or support engineering
  • Has built and run pipelines, automations, or integrations that other people rely on in production
  • Experience working with APIs and webhooks, and integrating SaaS platforms such as Zendesk and Jira
  • Experience building dashboards and reports (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Understands data quality: every metric needs a definition, a baseline, and an owner
  • Familiar with Git and with deploying and maintaining tools in a shared environment
  • Comfortable using AI tools as part of the work, with a critical eye on the quality of their output
  • Aware of security and data-privacy practices when handling customer data
  • Able to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues
  • Works independently, prioritizes well, and follows work through to production
  • Comfort working across regions and time zones (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) in a remote setting
