Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a CT Technologist for a Weekend Option to perform CT exams and ensure high-quality patient care. You will operate CT scanners, maintain documentation in CHL and PACS, and educate patients to support accurate imaging and cooperation.

This role supports weekend rotations with a premium and requires ARRT/NMTCB certifications and a radiology program background. The position emphasizes safety, dosage optimization, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent plus graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related program.
• ARRT: RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or NMTCB certifications or CNMT with ARRT(CT) combos; BLS CPR
• Licensure must meet required certifications (ARRT/NMTCB) and provider credentials.

Responsabilidades

• Operates CT scanners to acquire cross-sectional images per protocols.
• Adheres to established protocols to minimize dose and optimize exam productivity.
• Documents exams in CHL and PACS; identifies charges and resolves errors.
• Educates and prepares patients for examinations to ensure cooperation and understanding.
• Maintains safety practices and ALARA principles; promotes patient safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working under direct supervision, this position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. This role has a weekend option, in which the staff member is required to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.

Essential Job Function

• Operates head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.


• Performs routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within established benchmarks.


• Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow.


• Educates and prepares patients for their examinations to enhance patient understanding and cooperation during testing and promote a positive patient experience.


• Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
