A leading crypto trading firm is seeking a Crypto Market Maker to manage proprietary trading strategies on Centralized and Decentralized exchanges. This remote role will involve overseeing automated trading systems, adjusting strategies based on market conditions, and ensuring market efficiency. Candidates should have a strong background in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science, complemented by experience in high-frequency trading. An understanding of risk management and market microstructure is essential for success in this position.
Company: Meta Martian Location: Brazil (Remote) Department: Algorithmic Trading and Liquidity
Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000 USD per year plus Performance Bonus. We pay in USD or USDC. This base salary is benchmarked significantly above the local Brazilian market rate for quantitative finance roles. We expect world‑class execution and we pay accordingly.
At Meta Martian, we provide the liquidity that keeps the crypto economy moving. We are seeking a Crypto Market Maker to manage our proprietary trading strategies on both Centralized (CEX) and Decentralized (DEX) exchanges. Your mission is not to predict the future price of Bitcoin. Your mission is to ensure that our order books are deep, our spreads are tight, and our inventory is balanced. You are the architect of market efficiency.
Your primary mandate is the management of our automated trading systems. You will oversee a portfolio of market‑making algorithms that quote bid and ask orders 24 hours a day. You must constantly adjust the parameters of these bots based on market volatility. When the market is calm, you capture the spread. When the market crashes, you manage the risk to ensure we do not end up holding “toxic flow.” You are responsible for the daily Profit and Loss (PnL) of your assigned pairs.
This role requires a hybrid of trading intuition and engineering skill. You will spend your day in Python. You will write scripts to analyze trade history and optimize our quoting logic. You will connect to Exchange APIs via WebSocket to monitor latency and order rejection rates. You will work closely with our quant developers to improve our execution infrastructure, but you must be capable of fixing a broken script yourself in the middle of the night if necessary.
We are looking for a candidate with a background in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science. You have professional experience in high‑frequency trading (HFT) or electronic market making, either in crypto or traditional finance (B3/BM&F). You are comfortable handling large notional values and stay calm when volatility spikes. You understand that in market making, risk management is more important than profit maximization.
