What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide daily oversight and guidance to transport teams within the Department's Direct Transfer System
- Develop, update, and finalize statewide transportation dispatch manifests for incarcerated individuals
- Communicate with facility staff and transport teams to coordinate operational needs and logistics
- Audit facility transfer waitlists for compliance with policies and regulations
- Consult with stakeholders on transfer conflicts and provide expert guidance on transport logistics
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in criminal justice or related field
- Five (5) years of progressive work experience in a Washington State DOC facility, including two (2) years focusing on transportation logistics
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience or experience leading operational systems
- Expertise in managing complex correctional programs and transportation logistics
- Proficiency in relevant policies and compliance standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional college-level coursework from an accredited institution
- Experience with the operational aspects of correctional facilities and transportation systems
- Familiarity with policy implementation and performance monitoring in a correctional context
- Strong leadership skills demonstrated through previous roles
