Objective
- Lead a talented team and ensure the security, stability, and efficiency of mission‑critical IT infrastructure.
- This role encompasses network operations across data centers, office environments, and cloud platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity, scalable solutions, and robust security.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and proven success in high‑performance environments such as financial or other mission‑critical industries.
Responsabilities
- Lead and supervise a skilled network and security team based in Brazil, ensuring 24/7 system availability while serving as the escalation point for critical incidents.
- Foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture focused on accountability, problem‑solving, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of network infrastructure in data centers, offices, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security while collaborating with vendors to maintain operational excellence.
- Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of key network and security projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, efficient resource management, and timely completion.
- Ensure accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of network topologies, inventories, and system backups.
- Provide detailed reports to senior management on network performance, project progress, and operational metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion innovation by adopting emerging technologies, establishing best practices, and implementing automation workflows to optimize processes, enhance scalability, and strengthen security.
Experience
- 10 years of experience implementing and supporting Checkpoint, F5, Cisco and Fortigate solutions and technologies such as Firewalls, IPS (Intrusion Prevention System), WAF (Web Application Firewall), Load Balancers, Network Switches, Routers, Wifi (access Points and Controllers), VPN (SSL/IPSEC), SDWAN, BGP and OSPF.
- A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
- Experience in ITIL, Service Management Processes.
- Experience in Jira and Confluence or similar ITSM tools.
Technical Knowledge
- Technical Expertise:
- Firewalls: Checkpoint and Fortinet.
- Load Balancers & WAFs: Preferably F5 solutions.
- VPN solutions: SSL/IPSec.
- Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) frameworks.
- Wi‑Fi solutions: Cisco Access Points and Controllers.
- Identity & Access Platforms: Cisco ISE.
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Routing and Networking protocols: BGP, OSPF.
- SD‑WAN technologies and hybrid infrastructure management.
- Cloud networking using Azure and AWS platforms.
- English.
- Automation & Tools:
- Familiarity with automation solutions to streamline workflows (experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix) and ITSM platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
