You will develop and maintain applications, work closely with other teams, and write scalable code. The ideal candidate should have over 7 years of development experience and at least 1 year of Rust experience. This is a contractor position, and compensation is made in USD. About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior Software Engineer - Rust to join our team. In this role, you'll work on end-to-end development of scalable web applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for one of our clients.

Engagement Details

• Contract Type:This is a contractor position for temporary, project-based engagements.
• Compensation:Payment is made in USD.

Some activities you would do on a typical day at Cheesecake Labs

• Develop and maintain applications using Rust
• Develop and maintain cross-platformapplications
• Interact with other teams and professionals, including other developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders
• Write beautiful, readable, and scalable code
• Review-code of other developers
• Make sure the apps are free of critical issues
• Assist in the creation and implement mockups
• Understand the needs of our partners and come up with solutions for their problems
• Participate in Sprint Plannings and daily stand-up meetings
• Build estimates and plan roadmaps

In order to succeed, you'll likely need the following skills

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field
• + 7 years of development experience.
• +1 year of experience with Rust
• Experience with RESTful backend applications
• Experience with Git
• English proficiency
• Knowledge about clean code, design patterns, and reactive programming
• Knowledge about design principles
• Extras if you have experience with NodeJS and Typescript. But if you don’t, that’s OK too!
• Customer-centric mindset and strong client-facing experience
• Being self-taught
