What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws and regulations
- Monitor and interpret changes in regulations, assessing their impact on operations
- Develop and implement import compliance policies and procedures
- Collect, analyze, and manage compliance data, maintaining detailed records
- Operate autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams on compliance integration
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Law, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in compliance, focusing on import compliance
- Extensive knowledge of import regulations and compliance procedures
- Proficiency in data management and analysis tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Certification in trade compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance Specialist)
- Experience with trade compliance software and tools
- Licensed Customs Broker preferred but not required
