Job summary

DBServices Portugal seeks a Cloud & Kubernetes Platform Engineer to implement and operate scalable Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms. You will manage compute, networking, storage, and identity services, and automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible while deploying containers with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

This remote-friendly role involves collaborating with a global team, applying Linux admin skills, and communicating in English to support cutting-edge IT across Europe

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing and operating Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm in production.
• Strong Linux administration, networking basics, and security practices.
• Advanced English communication.

We are looking for aCloud & Kubernetes Platform Engineerto implement and operate Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.

Tasks:

• Implement and operate Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.
• Manage Cloud compute, networking, storage and identity services.
• Administer Linux systems, including services, permissions, patching, hardening and troubleshooting.
• Provision and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Configure and maintain Kubernetes networking and storage components (CNI, CSI, Ingress).
• Ensure monitoring, logging, alerting, backup and recovery.
• Manage IAM/RBAC, secrets and security practices.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and automate tasks using Bash and Python.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience implementing and operating Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms
• Experience with Cloud compute, networking, storage and identity services
• Strong Linux system administration skills (services, permissions, patching, hardening, troubleshooting)
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
• Experience with Kubernetes networking and storage components (CNI, CSI, Ingress)
• Knowledge of networking and connectivity: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, TLS, SSH
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, backup and recovery
• Knowledge of IAM/RBAC, secrets management and security
• Knowledge of Git, Bash, Python and GitLab CI/CD
• Advanced English
