Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in predictive and prescriptive modeling applied to industrial operations. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for constructing models to solve business problems, communicating with technical teams, and ensuring delivery aligns with business expectations. You will also work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics initiatives.

Main Accountabilities

  • Design, create, test, and implement complex models and algorithms that drive analytical solutions across the organization.
  • Provide technical support for data scientists across multiple squads.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand problems and implement scalable solutions.
  • Define development standards and solution approaches.
  • Design and structure reusable codebases.
  • Coordinate with MIS, Digital Specialists, and Data Engineers to deliver comprehensive analytical solutions.
  • Communicate the design, functioning, and output of analytical models/solutions.
  • Ensure timely analysis and testing for maintenance of solutions.
  • Present data insights to stakeholders.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies

  • Make decisions aligned with Bunge’s strategy, business needs, and financial goals, exploring new perspectives through innovation.
  • Build strong relationships, influence others, and develop talent.
  • Develop data-driven strategies aligned with company priorities and communicate effectively.
  • Proficient in data science, machine learning, programming languages like Python or R, SQL, data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Assist in structuring problems/hypotheses and translating them into advanced analytics approaches, including machine learning and optimization.
  • Help business understand data science and optimization concepts for better cross-functional communication.

Education/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge in mathematics, analytics, and computer science, including machine learning, statistical models, and data science programming.
  • Avoid logical flaws, build resilient data pipelines in cloud environments, and prepare high-quality data.
  • Mentor associates and data scientists, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and management.
  • Model behavior as a team player and foster new ideas.
