Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in predictive and prescriptive modeling applied to industrial operations to join our growing team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for constructing models to solve business problems, communicating with the technical team, and ensuring delivery aligns with business expectations. You will also work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, create, test, and implement complex models and algorithms that drive analytical solutions across the organization.
• Provide technical support for data scientists across multiple squads.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand business problems and implement scalable, sustainable solutions.
• Define development standards and solution approaches.
• Design and structure reusable codebases.
• Coordinate with MIS, Digital Specialists, and Data Engineers to deliver comprehensive analytical solutions.
• Communicate the design, functioning, and output of analytical models/solutions developed.
• Ensure timely analysis and testing for regular maintenance of solutions over time.
• Communicate data insights to stakeholders.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies

• Make decisions aligned with Bunge’s global strategy, business needs, and financial goals, exploring new perspectives through innovation.

Education/Experience

• Advanced knowledge in mathematics, analytics, and computer science, with expertise in machine learning, statistical models, and data science programming.
• Avoid common mistakes, logical flaws, and ensure high-quality, reusable, resilient data pipelines in cloud environments.
• Capable of mentoring associates and other data scientists, and communicating with stakeholders and management.
• Model behavior as a team player and contribute innovative ideas.
• Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders.
