WhiteBIT Brazil is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to design and lead end-to-end operations, including onboarding, settlements, reconciliation, and risk management. You will coordinate with product, engineering, and compliance to translate regulatory requirements into scalable processes and SLAs.

The role requires 8-12+ years in operations leadership within fintechs or crypto exchanges, strong knowledge of payments flows, and fluency in Portuguese and English.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Information Systems or related fields.
• 8-12+ years of experience in operations leadership within banks, payment institutions, fintechs or crypto exchanges/VASPs, with direct responsibility for payments, settlement and reconciliation flows.
• Hands-on experience with Pix, API‑based integrations, Open Finance data flows and trading book operations (crypto or FX).
• Strong understanding of asset segregation, internal controls and operational governance in supervised environments (Central Bank or equivalent).
• Ability to work closely with product, engineering and compliance teams, translating regulatory and business requirements into robust processes and SLAs.
• Advanced English and fluent Portuguese; Spanish is a plus.
• Proven track record in scaling operations, managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering against KPIs in fast‑moving environments.

Responsibilities:

Design and lead the end-to-end operations of WhiteBIT Brazil:

• Customer onboarding, support, order execution, settlement, reconciliation, treasury operations, Pix deposits and withdrawals.
• Build and manage operations, customer support, back-office, and operational risk teams.

Implement the Brazil infrastructure architecture:

• Own the app, onboarding flows, risk engine, ledger, reconciliation processes, business rules and compliance dashboards at the Brazilian level.
• Orchestrate external partners for Pix/PISP/ITP, BaaS/payment accounts, KYC/KYB and AML/monitoring as modular \"last mile\" components.

Ensure asset segregation, reconciliation and cash control:

• Design and oversee daily reconciliation routines between WB internal ledgers, bank accounts, Pix partners and stablecoin/liquidity providers.
• Maintain clear processes separating client assets, operational cash and reserves, with strong audit trails and governance.

Build and operate the Pix-first on-ramp/off-ramp and institutional-grade BRL books:

• Coordinate implementation of Pix journeys (deposit, withdrawal, recurring Pix, biometric Pix) in collaboration with technical partners.
• Oversee BRL/USDT and BRL/USDC books to ensure depth, price quality, RFQ/OTC capabilities and reliable operational performance.

Implement operational and risk controls:

• Set and monitor dynamic limits, velocity checks, account ownership checks, fraud controls and exception-handling procedures.
• Maintain incident playbooks for operational issues (Pix failures, reconciliation breaks, mis-credits/mis-debits), including client communication and escalation to Compliance and regulators when needed.

Support the SPSAV authorization process operationally:

• Produce and maintain operational documentation required by BCB (process maps, flow diagrams, policies, procedures, evidence of testing and controls).
• Act as key explainer of \"how the operation works\" during supervisory interactions.

Lead strategic operational projects:

• Launch new flows (Brazil remittances, middle-market and HNWI solutions).
• Integrate B2B and B2B2C rails (rails for banks/fintechs, payroll and treasury crypto solutions).
• Build and monitor operational KPIs:
• Track and report metrics such as signup → FTD conversion, effective CAC, average deposit/withdrawal times via Pix, error rates, system uptime and customer support performance.
• Provide regular operational reports to the C-suite and to the Head of Compliance, highlighting risks, incidents and improvement plans.
