Business Control Director
You will be the senior financial advisor to the Managing Director and an active member of the Leadership Team for Volvo Trucks Brazil. You will steer the full financial agenda, ensuring a robust performance framework and high‑quality insights that enable confident, fast decision‑making.
What you will do
- Lead the Business Control strategy and agenda for Market Company Brazil, ensuring strong financial governance across Sales, Services, Market Operations, Dealer network and new business initiatives;
- Own the full planning cycle—budget, strategic planning, rolling forecasts, outlooks, target‑setting—and anchor financial ambition across the leadership team;
- Drive commercial insights on pricing, volumes, margins, profitability, and market dynamics, supporting strategic portfolio and commercial decisions;
- Monitor critical performance indicators such as market share, sales mix, contribution margins, customer profitability, operational performance, costs and expenses, recommending actions to improve results;
- Champion management reporting quality, ensuring accuracy, speed, and transparency for executive‑level decision‑making;
- Lead strategic projects, including new business models, pricing strategies, cost optimization, dealer performance improvement, and commercial investment assessments;
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and adherence to Volvo Group policies, elevating financial discipline and risk management;
- Represent Brazil in regional and global forums, aligning financial strategy, performance expectations, and long‑term ambitions;
- Lead and develop the Business Control function, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or post‑graduate is a strong plus.
- Extensive and progressive experience in Business Control, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or related leadership roles—preferably in multinational, automotive, industrial, or transport sectors.
- Significant experience in commercial organizations, supporting sales performance, pricing, and market strategies.
- Proven track record of leading financial planning, forecasting, strategic steering and executive‑level reporting.
- Strong understanding of Brazilian accounting concepts and financial governance (not responsible for statutory reporting).
- Advanced analytical skills and experience with financial modeling, performance steering tools, and data insights.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with comfort operating at executive and regional/global levels.
- Fluent Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
This is an on‑site position based in Curitiba, with broad exposure to senior regional and global leadership.
