What does a Business Analyst do at Hogarth

Our Business Analysts are responsible for mapping system requirements for projects like responsive websites mobile applications and experiences in AI VR and AR with an analytical view of the applications life cycle. They act as a focal point on the technical and functional details of projects guiding the development team when necessary and serving as the curators of the projects technical knowledge.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• To have direct contact with stakeholders (both internal and external) to understand needs and suggest solutions.
• Describe and document the solutions / features that will be developed translating business needs into clear technical requirements for the development teams.
• Sustain the workflows being responsible for meetings and ceremonies such as daily meetings and requirement presentations.
• Investigate and describe the current state of the clients system business rules ensuring the continuity and integrity of the projects.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the Solution Architect Manager.

You will work closely with Client Services Architecture and Production teams both locally and internationally.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Graduate in Systems Analysis and Development Computer Science or any related field (desirable).
• Experience in gathering business requirements through direct contact with stakeholders (both internal and external).
• Advanced or fluent English (this is an essential requirement for daily collaboration with international teams).
• Experience in producing business requirement artifacts including UML use cases user stories acceptance criteria functional and non-functional specifications.
• Solid experience with agile methodologies like Scrum.
• Experience with ticket and documentation management tools (such as Jira and Confluence).
• Understanding of Systems Integrations APIs databases and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Basic knowledge of UX / UI to communicate effectively with creative teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
• Previous experience working in an agency or a similarly fast-paced environment.
