Job summary

Halliburton in Macaé, Brazil seeks an entry-level Engineer/Scientist for a full-time role in the Cementing product service line. Under supervision, you will learn chemical hygiene, safety standards, and perform prototype or lab tests.

The role values basic lab skills, documentation, and frontline testing with equipment handling. A college chemistry background is preferred and training will cover equipment setup and data recording.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic lab testing and data recording is desirable.
• Familiarity with chemical hygiene plans and safety standards preferred.
• Eight hours of college chemistry is preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Train under supervision and learn the chemical hygiene plan and safety standards.
• Follow safety rules and perform prescribed duties in the lab.
• Conduct prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures.
• Document test data for reporting and maintain test equipment records.

Job Duties

• Under direct supervision, trains and becomes familiar with the chemical hygiene plan and the current HSE laboratory safety standards.
• Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties.
• Performs duties to conduct prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures.
• Learns to build equipment and/or perform basic material or environmental tests using basic techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment.
• Learns to document test data for reporting purposes.
• Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and test results of equipment.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
• Skills typically through eight (8) hours of college chemistry (preferred).
