Amazon is seeking a dynamic BI Engineer to enable Brazil growth by implementing and supporting BI solutions for payments products and programs. You will own complex reporting, drive data insights, and partner with business teams to shape decision making in a fast-paced, global environment.

The ideal candidate combines deep analytical background with strong business acumen and hands-on data engineering skills, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change in a high-growth setting.

Qualificações

• Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Bachelor's degree or above in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
• Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language) to pull data from a database or data warehouse
• Experience using Python scripting to process data for modeling

• Assist in the development of key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement.
• Build self-service reporting platforms, establishing automated processes for large scale data analysis.
• Understand and write high quality queries to retrieve and analyze data.
• Define analytical approaches and metrics strategy to uncover new insights and formulate recommendations that improve productivity.
• Manage the local data infra-structure, as well as work with Global teams to assure data is consistent and accurate.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative BI Engineer that will enable Amazon Brazil growth through implementation and support of business intelligence solutions for payments products and programs. She/he will bring insights to the businesses teams and drivers for decision making, will support Payments Team growth by owning complex reporting and managing structural changes in tables and concepts. This role is both a strategic and hands-on role. It requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, knowledge of business intelligence solutions, as well as good business acumen and the ability to work with quantitative and business teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and driven by a desire to innovate in this space. In this role you will be responsible for solving complex and analytical challenges that produce critical business insights. The ideal candidate has a deep business acumen, an a deep analytical background with business understanding, and earns trust by delivering results.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
• Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
• Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
• Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
