Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to act as the technical anchor for the infrastructure team, bringing deep ops and database expertise. You will lead cost-reduction initiatives and optimize large-scale Kubernetes environments and AWS-based databases under heavy traffic.

You will mentor teammates and drive decisions balancing performance, cost, and scalability in a 100% remote role with global impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Deep, battle-tested experience managing large-scale, multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, specifically AWS EKS via Helm and Terraform.
• Strong experience with Karpenter for automatic infrastructure scaling.
• Strong relational database administration (DBA) skills within AWS, specifically performance tuning, optimizing parameter groups, and handling data layer choke points for Aurora PostgreSQL under heavy traffic.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

What We Are Looking For
