BTG Pactual in São Paulo invites a backend engineer to join a global, AWS-focused team delivering scalable cloud-native solutions. You will own key backend components, collaborate across regions, and uphold high standards for code quality and performance.

Ideal candidates blend strong .NET/C# and Python skills with AWS deployment experience and an agile mindset, ready to work in a hybrid model and contribute to resilient systems across North and South America and Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering backend services with .NET/C# and Python.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience including architecture and deployment.
• Familiar with Scrum and agile development practices.
• Strong coding standards, testing and documentation.
• International project exposure and good communication skills.

What You'll Do

• Build scalable and maintainable back-end applications aligned with business goals
• Design and evolve cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Ensure code quality through engineering best practices, automated testing, and technical documentation
• Collaborate on architecture decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and performance monitoring

What We're Looking For

• Availability to work in person 2 days per week in our office
• Strong back-end development experience with .NET / C# and Python
• Hands-on experience in AWS environments (architecture, managed services, deployment)
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Advanced English or Spanish — projects are international

Nice to have

• Background in banking or fintech
• Proficiency in SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns
• Experience with RESTful API and resilient microservices architecture
• Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and non-relational databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
