Responsibilities

• Provide legal services to help individuals obtain their highest level of professional licensure.
• Conduct legal research, draft rule‑making documents, and advise the Director and Board Managers on FOAA, rule‑making, legislation, and communications.
• Respond to legal inquiries on behalf of the OPOR and advise the Director on legal matters associated with professional licensure and regulation.
• Work with staff on the interpretation of agency statutes and rules, and advise management staff on the implementation of licensing compacts and related documents.

Requirements

• Licensed Maine Attorney.
• Preferably experienced in administrative law and / or regulatory law.
