A leading global ratings agency in São Paulo is seeking an Associate Director in Structured Finance. You will perform detailed analyses of credit ratings, maintain relationships with senior management of rated entities, and provide essential insights through rigorous research. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in structured finance, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in financial modeling. This full-time role offers a hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 days required at the office.

The Team

Responsibilities and Impact
  • Perform rigorous analytical work: research fundamental credit analysis, analyze financial statements, build financial models and forecasts, and write analytical reports on rated insurance companies.
  • Maintain direct analytical responsibility for a portfolio of rated insurance companies, ensuring ongoing surveillance and providing rating recommendations.
  • Engage in ongoing surveillance and rating recommendations to uphold the integrity and excellence of our ratings.
  • Maintain analytical contact with senior management of rated entities, presenting analytical findings to both internal and external constituencies.
Requirements

Basic Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience within structured finance or within a large commercial bank, investment bank, or audit company specifically in the field of credit analysis of structured finance or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of insurance financial statement analysis and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with figures and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail-oriented while complying with deadlines.

Ability to prepare forecasts based upon reasoned assumptions.

  • Solid communication skills both verbal and written with the capacity to expand, learn and contribute.
Hybrid Work Requirements

All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
