You will perform detailed analyses of credit ratings, maintain relationships with senior management of rated entities, and provide essential insights through rigorous research. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in structured finance, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in financial modeling. This full-time role offers a hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 days required at the office.

The Team

Responsibilities and Impact

• Perform rigorous analytical work: research fundamental credit analysis, analyze financial statements, build financial models and forecasts, and write analytical reports on rated insurance companies.
• Maintain direct analytical responsibility for a portfolio of rated insurance companies, ensuring ongoing surveillance and providing rating recommendations.
• Engage in ongoing surveillance and rating recommendations to uphold the integrity and excellence of our ratings.
• Maintain analytical contact with senior management of rated entities, presenting analytical findings to both internal and external constituencies.

Requirements

Basic Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience within structured finance or within a large commercial bank, investment bank, or audit company specifically in the field of credit analysis of structured finance or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of insurance financial statement analysis and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with figures and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail-oriented while complying with deadlines.

Ability to prepare forecasts based upon reasoned assumptions.

• Solid communication skills both verbal and written with the capacity to expand, learn and contribute.

Hybrid Work Requirements

All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
