Job summary

Aplos Data is seeking a Data Engineer Contractor in Brazil to design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions for clients. You will translate business problems into scalable technical solutions and own the delivery from design through deployment.

You will work directly with customers to shape requirements, build data pipelines and APIs, and contribute to production systems on Palantir Foundry and AIP, while mentoring teammates and upholding engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of experience in software engineering or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs, data platforms, or distributed systems.
• Strong SQL and cloud platform experience.
• Excellent communication skills with customers.

The Role

You'll likely bring:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineer Contractoring, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs, data platforms, integrations, or distributed systems.
• Strong SQL and cloud platform experience.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to unfamiliar challenges, and take ownership of outcomes.

Experience with Palantir Foundry or AIP is beneficial but not required. We place greater value on curiosity, problem solving ability, engineering fundamentals, and a builder's mindset.
