Placements24 seeks an experienced Cloud Architect to design scalable, highly available cloud systems for our streaming platform in Santos, São Paulo. You will implement IaC, manage multi-cloud resources, and drive CI/CD pipelines while ensuring security and performance.

The role requires strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, Kubernetes, and containerization, with a hybrid on-site/remote work model and collaboration across product, engineering, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Proven Cloud Architect or Solutions Architect experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures for media streaming services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Manage and optimize cloud resources (compute, storage, networking, databases) across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and management of services.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, adhering to industry best practices and regulations.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on cloud best practices and emerging technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or Solutions Architect, with a strong focus on designing and managing large-scale cloud infrastructures.
• In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), including core services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Kubernetes, etc.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a hybrid team environment.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
