BairesDev is seeking an Application Security Engineer (Java) to triage findings, verify real vulnerabilities, and implement fixes directly in Java services and React front ends in a login/security context.

You'll apply secure coding standards, partner with the security team to prioritize issues, and work 100% remotely with flexible hours and competitive compensation in USD or local currency.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong application security focus.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience with React and secure coding practices.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation and static analysis tooling (SAST).
• Advanced proficiency in English and availability for Eastern hours.

Responsabilidades

Application Security Engineer (Java) at BairesDev

In this role, you'll triage flagged security findings, determining which are real, then remediate them directly in Java services and React front ends. Working within a login and authentication security context, your security judgment and coding skills work together to close real vulnerabilities, not just flag them. This is your opportunity to apply application security expertise where it counts most, protecting critical financial platforms through hands-on remediation rather than reporting alone.

What You'll Do

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong application security focus.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Demonstrated application security experience, including secure coding and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with React.
• Availability to work Eastern hours.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Experience with Angular.
