Qualificações

• 5+ years of solid professional experience in backup administration
• Strong hands-on experience with Commvault and NetBackup
• Experience supporting on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Background in backup migration, resilience, scalability, optimization, or large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus
• Advanced or fluent English and/or Spanish is a plus

This is a senior infrastructure role focused on ensuring the availability, security, performance, and integrity of critical backup environments.

You will administer and evolve backup platforms across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.

The role offers broad exposure to Commvault, NetBackup, AWS, disaster recovery, automation, and infrastructure resilience.

You will work closely with engineering, development, infrastructure, and business teams on critical technology initiatives.

Your expertise will contribute to backup modernization, cloud migration, operational efficiency, and stronger recovery capabilities.

The position combines hands-on operations with architecture, troubleshooting, automation, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

• Administer, maintain, monitor, and continuously improve backup environments using platforms such as Commvault and NetBackup.
• Ensure the availability, integrity, security, and performance of backup infrastructure across critical environments.
• Perform regular restore tests, including monthly validation, to confirm backup reliability and recovery readiness.
• Execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance across backup services and infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain backup solutions across development, testing, homologation, and production environments.
• Conduct backup-related audits and support compliance requirements involving frameworks and regulatory bodies such as ISO 27001, PWC, EY, PQO, and CVM.
• Install, configure, administer, and optimize backup management systems.
• Analyze performance, tuning, indexes, queries, jobs, permissions, and capacity planning to improve backup operations.
• Define, implement, and test strategies for backup, restore, contingency planning, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• Support internal teams with restore requests and provide guidance on backup best practices in line with internal compliance standards.
• Define and implement backup administration standards, architectures, and physical models.
• Automate recurring operational activities through scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Collaborate on cloud migration, modernization, resilience, and optimization initiatives, particularly within AWS environments.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and development teams to identify technical improvements and implement more resilient and efficient solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of solid professional experience in backup administration, preferably in large-scale or business- critical environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Commvault and NetBackup.
• Experience working with high-availability, high-performance, and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of backup and restore operations, performance tuning, indexes, jobs, permissions, security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as RDS, EC2, and S3.
• Experience or knowledge of migrating backup environments from on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms.
• Understanding of infrastructure architecture, operating systems, storage, and networking.
• Ability to investigate complex technical issues, develop effective solutions, and collaborate with multiple technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive, organized, resilient, and adaptable approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering, infrastructure, development, and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SRE practices, Agile methodologies, or modern Agile engineering approaches is desirable.
• Experience automating operational processes with Python, PowerShell, Bash, .NET, or similar technologies is desirable.
• Experience designing, developing, or supporting cloud-based infrastructure solutions is desirable.
• Background in backup migration, resilience, scalability, optimization, or large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Technical certifications in backup, cloud, AWS, infrastructure, or related technologies are desirable.
• Advanced or fluent English and/or Spanish is a plus.
