About the team:

The Globalization e-Invoicing Localization Unit is responsible for the development and maintenance of electronic invoicing solutions for Brazil and Latin America within S/4HANA, and multiple other countries within the SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, cloud edition. These solutions help thousands of customers achieve compliance with local regulations while ensuring smooth integration into global business processes. Our AI team enhances these capabilities with advanced large language models, natural language processing, and automation. In this role, you’ll

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of AI-driven capabilities, ensuring alignment with long-term product strategy.
• Pioneer the integration of Generative AI features, from concept to production, shaping innovative solutions that transform compliance and automation for global customers.
• Continuously explore and assess emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and architectures, delivering PoCs and first versions of innovative features.
• Architect and oversee implementation of complex AI solutions, ensuring scalability, robustness, and adherence to best practices in cloud-native environments.
• Create tools to support other developers from different stacks (S/4HANA and cloud), working with ABAP, Python, Type Script, Java Script.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level AI developers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate closely with executive stakeholders, product management, and cross-functional teams to define AI solution roadmaps and priorities.
• Establish and enforce coding, testing, and documentation standards for AI-related development.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field; a PhD is a plus.
• Extensive background in Cloud development, consistently operating in senior or lead roles to deliver robust, production-grade systems.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks.
• Proven track record in building, fine-tuning, and deploying Large Language Models, LangChain, LangGraph, and related GenAI technologies.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks (ReAct) and CI/CD tools (JIRA, Git, Jenkins).
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design, microservices, and cloud-native deployments (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and driving technical direction.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills with a focus on delivering high business value.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.
• Experience in electronic invoicing, SAP eDocuments Framework or ERP is a plus.
• Experience with RDF Knowledge Graphs is a plus.
• Experience with ABAP technology is a plus.
