Wabtec Corporation in Brazil seeks an embedded software engineer to design and test Matlab/Simulink control applications for locomotive subsystems, including ePowerTrain and Battery systems. You will contribute to architecture, define interfaces, and support system integration and testing with MBSE methodologies.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics with control systems, hands-on MATLAB/Simulink development, and advanced English. Travel up to 10% may be required.
In this role, you will collaborate with a global cross‑functional team.
This position provides a unique opportunity to interact with all locomotive subsystems with control content while developing the Next Gen Locomotive Control Architecture that modernizes the electronics, software, applications, and network communication, intending to improve software quality, engineering productivity, meeting cyber security expectations, all while addressing the latest customer needs.
