Key Responsibilities
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive to develop a world‑class safety culture.
- Manage and supervise general accounting operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain cost control systems to monitor production and operational expenses.
- Analyze cost variances and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Lead month‑end closing process and reporting including costing always driven by continuous improvement mindset.
- Production hours accounting accuracy.
- Job Costing reporting and accountability.
- Product cost analysis.
- Manufacturing Cost Center allocations.
- In charge of Corporate Income tax calculation, tax filling, corporate reports and transfer pricing process, including review price list with Corporate tax team.
- Support Corporate tax function to perform transfer pricing calculations and documentation in accordance with local and international requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Assist in internal and external audits as required.
- Follow Division Policy & Close Process & implement and maintain regional internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Balance Sheet Variance Analysis.
- P&L Variance Analysis.
- Revenue recognition controls & reporting.
- Weir Insurance coordination.
- Contracts understanding (customer, leases).
- Drive automation and process simplification.
- Finding opportunities to use global standards and transfer repetitive tasks to global teams.
- Set and track financial KPIs.
- Key contact of WBS for accounting related matters - Client manager.
- Developing financial skills across the organization.
- Meet the requirements considered as responsibilities within your Duty of Care (a document that addresses the issue of individual and collective commitment regarding Health and Safety).
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- English minimum upper intermediate is required.
- Advanced knowledge of computer systems (Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI) and ERP's. Knowledge of Oracle (Finance ERP) and OneStream may be an advantage. It is desirable to have participated in some implementation to review experience in parameterization definitions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and transfer pricing. Weir is committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
