Job summary

AECOM in Bahrain is seeking a Transport Planner to support traffic studies under the Senior Transport Planner and Team Leader. You will prepare studies, reports, and QA/QC tasks, using traffic models and analysis tools.

Key duties include creating transport notes, site access appraisals, and coordinating with team members to meet regulatory and client requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience with parking and traffic modelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering plus a Master’s in Transport Planning or Transportation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transport planning or similar.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and traffic analysis tools (SYNCHRO, SIDRA, VISUM/VISSIM, HCS).
• Experience with parking management, parking demand/supply and access design.
• Programming knowledge in Python and/or VB/VBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard practices and techniques to specific tasks under supervision.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids; supervise documentation.
• Perform basic survey work and manage traffic surveys.
• Run traffic models and design software; conduct data analysis.
• Ensure deliverables meet regulatory, client, and local requirements.
• Attend meetings and contribute to design coordination and project delivery.
