Job summary

White Pearls Communication W.L.L. in Bahrain seeks an experienced Telecommunications Site Engineer to lead outdoor and indoor site surveys, equipment installation, commissioning and QC across 2G/3G/4G/5G networks.

You will coordinate BSS integration, microwave links, and telecom power systems while ensuring safety and site availability. Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in field roles with Huawei/ Ericsson gear, local operator exposure, and the ability to supervise field crews under strict EHS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on telecom field experience with Huawei and Ericsson infrastructure.
• Technical expertise in BSS (2G/3G/4G/5G), Microwave Transmission (RTN series), Fiber/OTN networks, RF antennas.
• Deep knowledge of telecom power systems including rectifiers, battery banks (Lithium & AGM), and DPDUs.
• Experience with network management software and diagnostic tools (iManager U2000, Web LCT, ISDP, LMT, BTMS).
• Ability to supervise field crews, perform VSWR testing, and conduct site acceptance testing.
• Strong Bahrain presence with direct experience with local operators (Zain, STC, BNET).
• Eligibility to work in Bahrain with immediate or short-notice availability.

Detailed Job Description

As a Telecommunications Site Engineer at White Pearls Communication W.L.L., you will take full technical ownership of outdoor and indoor telecom site surveys, equipment installation, commissioning, and quality control across Bahrain. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting indoor/outdoor site surveys, recording precise antenna and fiber details, preparing Technical Site Survey Reports (TSSR), and aligning BSS equipment and microwave links (Huawei RTN 900 series, OSN9000 Pro, NE8000-FB-PE, MSAN). You will manage fiber laying, migration, cutovers, and subrack installations, while maintaining robust telecom power systems such as lithium and AGM battery banks, rectifiers, DPDU, and PowerCube 1000 power racks. Furthermore, you will supervise riggers and field technicians, enforce strict EHS standards, conduct VSWR and acceptance testing, and manage site maintenance using iManager U2000, Web LCT, ISDP, and LMT/BTMS tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough indoor and outdoor telecom site surveys, recording precise antenna, radio, fiber, and cabinet specifications.
• Prepare, verify, and finalize comprehensive Technical Site Survey Reports (TSSRs) for project engineering teams.
• Install, commission, integrate, and align BSS equipment across legacy and modern 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G cellular networks.
• Deploy and configure microwave transmission links (Huawei RTN 900 series – 910, 950, 980) and core routing gear (OSN9000 Pro, NE8000-FB-PE, MSAN).
• Supervise and execute fiber optic laying, cable migrations, cutovers, and subrack hardware installations.
• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot telecom power systems, rectifiers, lithium/AGM battery banks, DPDU, and PowerCube 1000 racks.
• Enforce strict Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and conduct routine Quality Control (QC) checks across all site operations.
• Direct and supervise riggers and field technicians during tower execution, VSWR testing, alarm clearing, and technical handovers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of hands-on professional telecom field experience, with demonstrated expertise in Huawei and Ericsson infrastructure.
• Comprehensive technical expertise in BSS (2G/3G/4G/5G), Microwave Transmission (RTN series), Fiber/OTN networks, and RF antennas.
• Deep practical knowledge of telecom power systems, rectifiers, battery banks (Lithium & AGM), and DPDUs.
• Operational familiarity with network management software and diagnostic tools including iManager U2000, Web LCT, ISDP, Enspire Power System, LMT, and BTMS.
• Proven ability to supervise field crews, execute VSWR testing, and manage rigorous site acceptance testing.
• Strong local presence currently residing in Bahrain with direct project experience working with local telecom operators (Zain, STC, BNET).
• Mandatory eligibility to work in Bahrain with immediate or short-notice availability.
