Job summary

Client of 6 Pence seeks a Software Engineer - Android to design, build and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define features and ship updates, working with external data sources and RESTful APIs.

The role requires at least 4 years of Android experience, strong knowledge of Android SDK across versions and screen sizes, and proficiency in Kotlin and Java design patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of Android app development experience.
• Proficient with Kotlin and Java design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK across versions and screen sizes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android apps to back-end services.

• Experience with push notifications and cloud messaging APIs.
• Solid understanding of the mobile development life cycle.

Duties amp Responsibilities

• Design build and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness including edge cases usability and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Follow best practices for code quality testing and documentation

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Android app development
• Proficient and practical knowledge of design patterns and their implementation in Kotlin and Java
