Position Summary

The Clinical Analyst is the essential bridge linking clinical and business operations at Amana Healthcare. If successful, you will ensure that critical Hospital Information Systems (Oracle’s Cerner and Fusion) function efficiently and effectively to support clinical and operational workflows, enhance patient safety, and drive business growth.

This role requires innovative approaches to system implementation, configuration and testing, ongoing staff training, assurance of data integrity, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems.

Overview

The Senior Cerner Clinical Application Analyst plays a pivotal role in the implementation, support, and optimization of Cerner electronic health record (EHR) systems. This position involves working closely with clinical and IT teams to ensure that Cerner applications meet organizational needs and enhance patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Implementation & Configuration:
  • Configure and implement Cerner EHR applications tailored to clinical workflows.
  • Build, test, and deploy Cerner modules (CPOE, Pharm net , supply chain, Registration & Scheduling) and enhancements.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide advanced support to end-users, resolving complex issues.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system problems, ensuring timely resolution.li>
  • Maintain system documentation and update configuration records.
  • Collaboration & Optimization:
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and IT teams to optimize system functionality.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system enhancements.
  • Serve as a technical resource for Cerner-related projects and upgrades.
  • Training & Documentation:
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for clinical staff.
  • Create user guides and support materials for Cerner applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 + Proven experience with Cerner Millennium (Powerchart, Pharm net , supply chain) or other Cerner EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Cerner certification preferred.
