Gulf Shade is a leading contracting company in Bahrain specializing in innovative shading solutions, steel structures, and architectural projects. With a commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, we are expanding our finance team and seeking a skilled
Senior Accountant
to manage our financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Bahrain and KSA accounting standards.
  • Oversee cost accounting and project-based financial tracking for ongoing contracts.
  • Handle VAT filing, and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies for reporting and compliance.
  • Review and approve journal entries, expense reports, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow, forecast budgets, and support management with financial analysis.
  • Maintain and improve internal control systems and accounting processes.
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP): review, approve, and process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate supplier records.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): issue invoices, follow up on collections, and reconcile customer accounts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
  • Minimum
    5–7 years
    of accounting experience, ideally in the
    construction or contracting industry
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    Bahrain & KSA VAT laws, labor regulations, and financial reporting standards
    .
  • Proficiency in
    accounting software (Odoo experience is an advantage)
    .
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
