Job summary

Yokogawa Bahrain is seeking a Network Security Engineer Principal to lead cybersecurity architecture for the manufacturing environment. You will implement guidelines, support multinational engineering teams, and ensure secure project delivery.

The role requires 6–8 years OT industry experience, travel about 60% across MEA, and certifications such as MCSE, CCNA/CCNP; IEC62443 or GICSP is a plus. Bachelor's in CS or related field is required.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• The Network Security engineer principal role is to lead initiatives to implement and maintain Cyber security architecture onto the manufacturing environment.


• Complying to network security guideline specifications, design approach and documents, for project implementation.


• Supporting the activities of the multinational engineering team with the project manager.


• Implement and maintain cybersecurity architecture on projects.


• Conduct inspections and healthiness audits of Yokogawa cyber security solutions.


• Lead and mentor team of DCS/ESD/SCADA system service engineers for lifecycle support of Yokogawa’s cyber security solutions.

Qualification and Experience

• Engineer Level: At least 6-8 years’ experience in OT industry and 2 years of Leading project experience or service maintenance, experience on Yokogawa’s cyber security solutions will be an added advantage.


• Approximately 60% travel within the MEA region


• Proven hands‑on system & network engineering experience, preferably in the process control domain.


• Preferably MCSE, & CCNA/CCNP certified. OT certifications such as IEC62443, GICSP will be an added advantage.


• Full time university degree in Computer Science or a related subject

Competencies

• Endpoint Protection: McAfee ePO suite, VSE, ENS & Application Control (Whitelisting)

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEPM)

• Microsoft Platform: Active Directory, Group Policy, System Hardening.


• WSUS patch management., Terminal services.


• Backup & Recovery: Acronis, Symantec Backup Exec & SSR, Netbackup etc.

Familiar with bare metal backup & recovery. SAN, LTO Tape library setup.

Switching, Routing & Firewalls

• Segmentation using Cisco Firepower, Juniper, Palo Alto & Fortigate Firewalls. Cisco Switching and Routing experience.Vulnerability Management


• Network Monitoring using Solarwinds / WhatsUpGold.


• Network architecture design and implementation.


• Virtualization: VMWare ESXi, Hyper‑V, high availability.


• Hardware: HP, Dell, SAN, Tape Library


• Knowledge of security frameworks such as: ISO 27001, NIST Guidelines and IEC/ISA 62443

Skills

• Good documentation skills with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.


• Capability in conducting business in English both in speaking and writing.


• Ability to manage a team of engineers.


• Familiarity with available technology in the automation market.
