Job summary

Deutsche Post in the MEA region is seeking a Senior Operations Performance Analyst to lead reporting and analytics for the MEA Air Network, transforming data into actionable insights to improve efficiency and reduce costs across aviation operations.

You will partner with aviation stakeholders, drive BI/AI initiatives, develop dashboards, and lead data governance and API-based integrations for enterprise reporting and decision support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in BI, data analytics, performance reporting, or data science.
• Strong aviation operations and network performance management experience.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Cognos Analytics, Teradata, Snowflake, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience developing API integrations and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Azure and Power Platform; data governance exposure.
• Excellent written and oral communication; stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational performance reporting and analytics across MEA Air Network; deliver insightful reports and dashboards; translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Lead BI/Analytics/AI/ML initiatives across Aviation and Network Operations.
• Develop predictive/prescriptive analytics for network performance, capacity planning, delay prediction, resource optimization, and risk management.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPI frameworks; lead data governance initiatives; design API-based data integrations.
• Extract operations performance data from BAR Data Warehouse using Cognos and OPMS; monitor KPIs; partner with aviation stakeholders.
• Support process improvement initiatives and real-time monitoring; deputize for the Operations Performance Manager.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Drive operational performance reporting and analytics across the MEA Air Network, ensuring accurate measurement, monitoring, and continuous improvement of network performance against agreed KPIs. The role is responsible for delivering insightful reports and dashboards, conducting in-depth operational and business analysis, and transforming data into actionable recommendations that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support strategic decision-making. Working closely with aviation and operational stakeholders, the Operations Reporting Manager ensures data integrity, identifies performance trends, develops creative analytical solutions, and leads reporting process improvements to support business objectives and maintain the highest operational standards.

YOUR TASKS:

Process:

Business Partnering & Requirements Management

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Aviation stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into reporting, automation, and analytics solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to define KPIs and operational improvement opportunities.

Process Improvement Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives using operational analytics and digital technologies.
• Conduct process assessments and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Measure and report benefits realization from implemented improvements.
• Support and evaluate operational process improvement initiatives.
• Analyze operational data to identify efficiency opportunities and recommend improvement actions.
• Participate in process design, redesign, and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor and report benefits realized from operational improvement projects.
• Support Aviation performance improvement initiatives through analytical assessment and reporting.
• Extraction of operations performance data from the BAR Data Warehouse (BDW) using COGNOS and Operations Performance Management System (OPMS) system for all network air movements operating within and transiting through the MEA Region.
• Lead Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives across Aviation and Network Operations.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to improve operational performance, network efficiency, resource utilization, and decision-making. (e.g. Network performance forecasting, Capacity planning, Delay prediction, Resource optimization, Operational risk management)
• Develop enterprise-level dashboards, scorecards, and KPI frameworks.
• Lead data governance, data quality, and data standardization initiatives.
• Design and implement API-based data integration solutions to automate data exchange between operational systems, reporting platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Drive digital transformation through the effective use of Microsoft technologies, cloud analytics platforms, and enterprise data solutions.
• Drive automation initiatives using Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Data Engineering & Integration
• Design and manage API-based integrations between operational, finance, and reporting systems.
• Microsoft Ecosystem Leadership
• Detailed analysis on various Aviation performance reports (e.g. airline performance, safety, incidents)
• Developed reporting templates for stations and departments self-reporting.
• To highlight data irregularities to the Data Quality team for investigation and corrective action.
• Distribution of period end operations performance reports, maintaining agreed time deadlines at all times.
• To run ad hoc performance investigations, delivering findings in agreed formats to allow further in-depth analysis to be completed.
• To be proactive in highlighting deteriorating performance trends associated to Aviation MEA KPI's through continuous real time monitoring.
• Administration of back-up analogue operations performance information for reference purposes.
• The Senior Operations Performance Analyst is to deputize for the Operations Performance Manager during leave of absence.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Performance Reporting, or Data Science roles.
• Educated to degree level is relevant subject.
• Strong aviation operations and network performance management experience.
• Proven expertise in Power BI, Cognos Analytics, Teradata, Snowflake, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience developing API integrations and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and modern analytics ecosystems.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale reporting and data governance frameworks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good team management and influencing skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good presentation skills.
