Job summary

Nasser Centre for Science & Technology is seeking a caring Nurse Assistant to support health and wellbeing services for students and staff. You will assist in providing safe, timely care under supervision and help monitor individuals who become unwell or injured at the Centre.

The role requires a relevant nursing or healthcare qualification, a valid NHRA certificate/license, and at least two years of experience. Proficient communication in English and Arabic is essential.

Qualifications

• Nursing/healthcare qualification required.
• NHRA certificate/license must be mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of first aid, infection control, health and safety, and emergency procedures.

• Assist in providing basic first aid and routine care to students and staff under the guidance of the responsible healthcare professional.
• Support the assessment and monitoring of individuals who become unwell or sustain minor injuries while at the Centre.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records, incident records, and related documentation.
• Assist with the organisation and maintenance of the clinic or first-aid room, medical supplies, and equipment.
• Support medication-related procedures only in accordance with approved policies, authorisation, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Follow infection-control, health and safety, safeguarding, and emergency-response procedures at all times.
• Coordinate with relevant staff, parents or guardians, and emergency services when required, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
• Relevant qualification in nursing, healthcare, or a related field.
• A valid NHRA certificate/license is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in a similar role is required.
• Basic knowledge of first aid, infection control, health and safety, and emergency procedures.
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills with a caring and professional approach.
• Good English communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Arabic.
