Job summary

Serco is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts in Middletown, Rhode Island. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, Navy customers, and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of simulation-based training systems for the U.S. Surface Navy.

The role requires a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, plus 5+ years of management experience, with familiarity in software development and MS Office tools. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with software development projects.
• Strong Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
