Job summary

Enerflex Ltd in Bahrain seeks a senior mechanical/technical professional to lead field-based maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair across operating sites. You will perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on gas engines and reciprocating compressors, diagnose failures, coordinate with operations, engineering, maintenance and HSE, and support shutdowns and commissioning.

The role requires travel to sites and adherence to Enerflex safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/HND/Associate degree or technical cert in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in major maintenance on natural gas engines and reciprocating compressors.
• Experience in workshop overhauls on Waukesha VHP engines, diesel engines and Ariel compressors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Experience with precision measurement instruments and engine component inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.

• Ensure work is executed according to approved procedures, work permits and operational standards.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide rapid technical support.
• Monitor equipment reliability and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds and commissioning projects.
• Conduct hazard assessments and participate in incident investigations.
• Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies and guidelines.

Senior mechanical / technical role that requires employee to handle field-based mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities across operational sites.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures, equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
• Ensure proper maintenance of rotating and static equipment
• Coordinate field activities with operations, engineering, maintenance and HSE teams.
• Ensure work is executed according to approved procedures, work permits and operational standards.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide rapid technical support.
• Monitor equipment reliability and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds and commissioning projects.
• Conduct hazard assessments and participate in incident investigations.
• Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager

Qualifications

• Diploma, HND, Associate Degree, or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience performing major maintenance activities on natural gas engines and reciprocating compressors
• Extensive experience in a workshop environment performing hands on mechanical overhauls in Waukesha VHP series engines, diesel engines and Ariel compressors is a must
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Experience in precision measurement instruments to determine engine components condition and knowledge on usage of machine cleaning equipment and processes
• Strong knowledge of assembly and dismantling of internal combustion engines and reciprocating gas compressors

Physical Requirements

• Field-based role requiring travel to operational or project sites.
• May involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, overtime, and emergency callouts.
• Must be physically capable of lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
