Job summary

The International School of Choueifat Sharjah invites applications for a teaching position focused on delivering the SABIS curriculum and philosophy. You will implement lesson plans, mark exams, and support students to achieve their full potential within a structured SABIS learning environment.

You will collaborate with the AQC and HOD, proctor exams, and participate in student life activities. A Bachelor’s in Education and at least 1 year of teaching experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• English proficiency required.
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience.
• Compliance with country and local education and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teaching classes using provided lesson plans and/or developing plans based on pacing charts.
• Marking exams according to department schedule and material.
• Discussing student disciplinary and academic performance with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department as needed.
• Implementing the SABIS Point System to promote an effective learning environment.
• Proctoring exams and maintaining test integrity.
• Providing guidance to academically lower-performing students to help them reach potential.
• Assisting with external exams preparation and structured revision when applicable.
• Performing additional school duties including substitutes, organizing students for meals and buses, and other admin tasks.
• Participating in student life activities (art, open houses, PE) with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attending training sessions to enhance understanding of the SABIS system.
