Qualifications

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research inquiries, and promoting literacy and learning within the community. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for literature and information, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1700 per month.

Responsibilities

• Catalogue new library materials using the Dewey Decimal System
• Assist patrons with finding books, reference materials, and online resources
• Provide research assistance and guidance to students and community members

• Maintain accurate records of library transactions and inventory levels
• Monitor library budget and make recommendations for purchases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting
• In-depth knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal System)
• Proficient in using computer systems, databases, and online resources
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
