Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and designs to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, levels and gauges.
• Cut or break bricks or blocks to desired size using hand or power tools.
• Lay out patterns or foundations according to plans.
• Mix mortar and apply it to bricks or blocks using trowels.
• Use specialized techniques such as arches or corners to create decorative effects.
• Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or blocks.
• Clean finished surfaces using wire brushes, muriatic acid, detergents, or other cleaning agents.
