PPOAR in Isa Town, Bahrain is seeking a Junior Instrument Technician to join our maintenance team. You will assist with installation, maintenance and calibration of various instruments used in industrial settings.

This is a full-time role offering a starting salary of $1500 per month, with negotiation based on experience. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be willing to learn on the job, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training or certification in instrumentation preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and ability to read schematics.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions as some repairs may take place outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and level sensors
• Perform routine calibration checks and adjustments on instruments to ensure accuracy
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment
• Assist senior technicians with more complicated repairs and installations
• Keep track of inventory levels for necessary instrument parts and supplies
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times while working on instruments
• Provide timely updates to supervisors on job progress and any issues encountered
