Job summary

A leading contractor firm in Bahrain is seeking an experienced IT security professional. You will manage and secure IT infrastructure while leading incident response efforts. The ideal candidate should have over 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, strong knowledge of network security, and relevant certifications. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work independently during critical situations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Ability to work during critical incidents or project deadlines.

Job description

• Proactively monitor and analyze security events, identifying and responding to threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents to minimize potential damage.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, and networking devices, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses before they can be exploited.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with relevant teams to contain, eradicate, and recover from security breaches.
• Implement and manage endpoint security solutions, such as antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and data loss prevention (DLP) to protect against malware and data exfiltration.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, providing recommendations for improvements to security posture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and other IT projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Possess certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity roles preferably in Hospitality or Real Estate in Bahrain
• Demonstrated expertise in network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be able to work extended hours during critical incidents or project deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
