Job summary

Citi is seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join our global technology team in Bahrain. The role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and supporting financial services applications while aligning with security and risk controls.

You will collaborate with users and tech groups to implement robust solutions, contribute to problem-solving, and mentor junior analysts as needed, in a fast-paced, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry is required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures to identify system enhancements and analyze code.
• Consult with users and technology groups to recommend programming solutions and support customer exposure systems.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, and conduct testing and debugging.
• Serve as advisor to new or lower level analysts and coach others.
• Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgments to implement solutions.
• Operate with limited supervision and exercise professional judgment.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and team members.
• Assess risk with attention to firm's reputation and regulatory compliance.
