Overview

We are seeking an experienced Migration Engineer to support end-to-end device migration activities across discovery, preparation, testing, and production phases. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise with endpoint administration, remote access configuration, and troubleshooting throughout migration cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery & Analysis

• Perform discovery activities using the provided data‑gathering sheet
• Validate and analyze device, user, and application readiness for migration
• Identify potential risks, blockers, and mitigation steps

Migration Preparation

• Ensure local administrator access is configured as required
• Enable and validate RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) for target devices
• Create and configure test machines for migration validation
• Provide ongoing support for test devices, including troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure all pre‑migration dependencies are met

Pilot & Production Execution

• Provide hands‑on support during pilot migration activities
• Assist users and technical teams during pilot testing, issue replication, and resolution
• Execute and support production migration tasks based on defined runbooks
• Monitor migration progress, capture logs, and escalates issues as needed
• Ensure smooth post‑migration validation and user acceptance

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with endpoint or workstation migration projects
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, user profiles, local admin rights, and remote access (RDP)
• Ability to create and troubleshoot test environments
• Familiarity with migration tools, scripts, or enterprise deployment technologies (MDT, SCCM, Intune, etc. – optional based on your needs)
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with large‑scale enterprise migrations
• Knowledge of networking, Active Directory, and endpoint security
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred)
