Job summary

Confidential Company in Bahrain seeks a Head of HSE to provide strategic leadership and overall management of Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the manufacturing facility. You will drive a zero-harm culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve HSE performance.

The role requires extensive experience in heavy industry with risk management for production machinery, electrical systems, lifting and chemicals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC is required; Diploma is highly preferred.
• ISO 45001/ISO 14001 lead auditor certifications are highly preferred.
• IOSH membership is advantageous.
• Additional qualifications in Fire Safety, First Aid, Incident Investigation or Process Safety are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for HSE across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with Bahrain regulations and international standards.
• Develop and drive HSE strategy, KPIs and annual objectives.
• Oversee incident investigations, RCA, CAPA and reporting.
• Lead environmental management programs and ESG initiatives.
• Coordinate internal audits and external certification audits (ISO 45001/14001).
• Manage contractor HSE requirements and PTW/LOTO regimes.
• Promote safety culture through training and safety campaigns.
