Job summary

Harsco Environmental in Bahrain seeks an experienced forklift operator to handle heavy industrial steel products. You will operate multiple forklift types, load/unload materials, and ensure safe transport within the facility and yard, including long and oversized items such as beams and coils.

The role requires 3–5 years of forklift experience in steel manufacturing, a valid multi-type forklift license, strong safety awareness, and physical fitness to work in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in heavy industrial or steel manufacturing environments.
• Valid forklift operator license/certification for multiple forklift types.
• Ability to operate various forklift types confidently and efficiently.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness to work in demanding environments.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate different forklift types.
• Safely load, unload and transport steel materials within the facility and yard.
• Handle long and oversized steel items such as beams, pipes and coils.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Ensure proper stacking and storage to prevent damage and maintain safety.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet operational targets.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and use PPE at all times.
• Assist in general warehouse duties when required.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various forklift types confidently and efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating forklifts in a heavy industrial or steel manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling heavy and oversized steel products.
