HEAD OF LEARNING ENRICHMENT DEPARTMENT IN BAHRAIN - January 2026

A private international school in Bahrain is starting its recruitment for the next academic year. This is not a typical expatriate school; students will be mostly Arabic and will be speaking English as a second language.

Salary and Package

A monthly tax free salary of BD1200-1300 plus housing allowance, annual flights and medical insurance.

Job Requirements
Knowledge
  • Evidence of up to date knowledge of the Curriculum.
  • Understanding of the significance of our school ethos.
  • Knowledge of SEND requirements.
  • Understanding of the requirements of good classroom head of departments.
Skills and Abilities
  • Commitment to curriculum continuity between the phases.
  • Commitment to continuously updating and maintaining planning.
  • Records of student progress and intervention strategies.
  • Able to provide a practical commitment to an equal opportunities policy of inclusivity.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team.
Experience
  • At least 5 year’s teaching / experience in the specified role.
  • Evidence of good personal relationships/ team player.
  • Evidence of experience of working with students who have challenges, both learning and behaviour.
Educational
  • Qualified Special Education teacher with Bachelor degree or equivalent.
  • Evidence of involvement in continuing professional development(CPD) activities as a participant.
Special Requirements
  • Applicant’s compliance to supporting and upholding the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
  • A Criminal Record Disclosure will be required prior to appointment.
  • Excellent and unequivocal references.
  • Good attendance and health record.
