Job summary

AUBH invites applications for a Computer Science Lab Demonstrator to support practical learning in our laboratories. The role involves supervising sessions, assisting faculty and students with experiments, and ensuring proper use of equipment and software.

You will set up and maintain lab equipment, monitor safety, guide students through troubleshooting, and help grade assignments. Collaboration with instructors ensures consistency in content and assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Professional certification in a related field is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in an academic or higher education setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, organize and maintain laboratory equipment and software for experiments.
• Ensure availability and functionality of tools, software, instruments, and materials.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe laboratory environment.
• Familiarize students with safety measures and emergency procedures.
• Provide guidance and assistance in troubleshooting technical issues related to experiments.
• Demonstrate proper usage of equipment, tools, and software relevant to experiments.
• Evaluate student performance during lab sessions.
• Grade assignments, lab reports and projects in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with instructors and other lab demonstrators to ensure consistency in content and assessment.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required by management.
